So, my floor console door has a small scratch in it, and paint alone won't fill it in.

Is it possible to fill the scratch in and retain the grain texture?
Year One has them for $89.99, and with 30% off; it's $63 (plus shipping)
Classic Industries has them for $74.99, and with 20%; that's $60 (plus tax since I'm in CA)

Should I attempt to fix the original, or better to buy new less likely to crack? Are the ones they sell at YearOne the same as at Classic?

A big thanks!!!

If it's light enough, is it possible to lightly sand it with a scotchbrite pad or fine paper and get it smooth enough without taking out the grain and hide it with paint
