This stunning 1973 Dodge Charger Daytona Tribute is a one of a kind here in New Zealand. Based off the '69 Daytona, this unique car stands out from the pack painted in brilliant Hemi orange, with black trim and chrome detailing - this car is sure to turn heads.

A 4-barrel/dual exhaust and 440 Big Block, with vertically slatted taillights, new grilles and hidden headlights. 20" chromes on the rear, and 18" on the front.

LVV and Repair Certification completed upon entry.

This is a beautiful car at a fraction of the price of a real Daytona - definitely worth a look.

Something does not look right. Is the wing a little too tall? The nose a little too pointed? Was there a Dodge wind tunnel mock-up/model for the '71 Charger? I know there was one for the '71 Plymouth RR/Sat. While the mods are open to interpretation, those are my questions after comparing the original 1969 Daytona to this tribute.

FFS!

Why people think they should do stuff like that is unbelievable.
:screwy:

The wing is way to high and the nose design will definitely make the car lift up at high speeds. Sorry, doesn't work for me.
PS - the doors are wrong for 73's and also the fake air vents on the quarter panels. To each his own I guess.....:soapbox:

"stunning" is perhaps a bit mild of a descriptive term.

"outlandish" might be more appropriate.

I'll be the one to say it.. That Car is just plain ugly and makes no sense. Cool thing is the door vents blow right into the quarter vents.. LOL They took a less desirable b-body and actually made it even worse. I once heard a guy on tv describe a 71 roadrunner as a Catfish that was kicked in the chin. LOL

Ever seen a v6 roadrunner? He tried.. This was at a Summit Racing store in a parking lot car show. This thing was funny to me. But if he likes it good on him.

and to think someone actually wasted a bunch of cash and time putting together that abortion. that's not a tribute , that's an insult

It would have been much better left alone, what a pile!

Ad says the car "is sure to turn heads", which I believe to be true, as people look away while laughing their asses off!

If the bottom was sealedup. It would be good for big waves .A good speed boat. :D

I'm a big fan of the third gen chargers, but I have my limits. To each their own, but it your making a tribute car, make it right. Fix the wing, fix the nose, get those vents off the quarter panel. Not impressed with the rims or hood either, early 70's sebring hood maybe? I like how they mentioned the "vertically slatted taillights" aka as standard 1973 Charger taillights. And new grilles?

If this is what you want your car to look like, good for you. Enjoy it. But try and sell it for that price after these modictaions? Good luck. Hate to ask what the interior and under the hood look like.

Not for me, but these were better executed

here's the only "alleged" real one
notice tunnel testing a dual element wing

The front looks screwed up too long plus there is 2ft between the rad and where the front bumper is supposed to be . The wing is too tall and not wide enough on the sides .

I'll say this simply. Some things are better left as is.

If the nose is going to provide lift, and the wing is too high, maybe it's one of those multi-purpose vehicles that can fly over the bottlenecks at commute time. (I'm no one to talk, the final stage planned for my '72 SSP project vehicle is a wing and nose as pictured in my avatar).

it badly needs a 01 on the door to be a complete turd..
