I have been away from the Chevy numbers/crowd/game for many years and had never heard of this until today. It sounds like the guy posting in this thread speaking of the factory "grind outs" was there in the day.

If it happened at GM I would suspect it happened at Chrysler and Ford as well. The Mopar crowd say never say never with a Mopar but don't realize that has been a common saying throughout the auto industry for YEARS.

For $ 300 bucks GM will send you any number you want. So much for the #s matching game. I have never been into that game for that very reason. I think, as a whole, the #s matching thing is a scam, especially in the corvette deal. .

Please explain? I have never heard of Chevrolet "sending" anybody ANY kind of numbers or selling them.
