FOUND big block 383 which way does flexplate install?

can someone please tell me which way the flexplate installs? does the depression go towards the trans or toward the engine?

Its only going to fit flat on the crank flange one way.

Depression towards the crank, bump outs toward the transmission.

It can only go on one way, due to an offset hole.

Speaking of the offset hole, before you install it, line it up with the converter holes and put a mark on the plate when it matches the plate and converter holes. Save a little trial and error time on the converter bolts.
