I know you guys like pics. Went on a mopar pick yesterday. You never know what you will find laying around in Ga. My Dart is missing the front seat. I had heard about a guy that had a lot of mopars but that he rarely sells anything.

He had a 71 340 orange duster that had the engine missing. The duster has factory orange interior but some reason someone had replaced the front seat with one from a 69 dart. He wouldn't sell me the seat but ended up selling me the complete car. It really needed to be saved plus I needed a seat.mopar honey6.jpgmopar honey7.jpg

So, what are you gonna do with that Duster?

That's a good question. It has a lots of options. I'm thinking orange with orange interior is kind of rare. I think I will wait to get it home clean it up and from there make a decision. It needed to be saved I just don't know if I'm the person to restore it.

reminds me of a guy i met in Nevada. he had several rare Mopars, and just said, "I am going to restore them someday and not interested in selling any". 15 years later, still there, unrestored :(

Please let me know if you decide to sell it.

Save em. Especially those 71's. Era ending. It is our heritage man!

Great find. If he sold one to you, he might have realized he won't be able to save them all and more may be buyable.

Very cool and thanks for the pics. What is the difference between a collector and a hoarder?

I think a lot of these guys think someone is going to show up with a magic wand and restore all the cars they refuse to sell. I also think a lot of them are pretty arrogant.

they still have these hidden treasures laying out there somewhere ....

still cool to know ....

and with these ppl, its two things ..... they wont let them go or they will ask gold prices for the part(s), unfortunately =/ .....

thanks for sharing. If he'd sell some of those cars in the weeds, he could get that Superbird done.

Ugh, i hate when people just let nice cars like that just rot away...either fix them, or give someone else a chance to...or at least part them out...i need a trunk lid dammit! :) :(

I am in Ga., where is this place located? I would like to look around there maybe he would sell me another project car.

He could probably sell a few if he wanted & make enough money off those sales to restore the ones that he wants to keep. But money may not be a problem to him. These cars probably feel like family to him. A lot of times when people see a collection of cars like these they think the owner has money issues & think they can just go up & offer something to get 1 of the cars. But I would bet that since he had the foresight to invest in these cars years ago that money is not an issue to him.

You're right I don't think money is an issue with him. My impression was he has plenty of money. He has two other building full of cars that he bought years ago. I think he does feel attachment to the cars but he did sell me the duster.
