I was in Rio Vista, CA this past week on a business trip (we have a plant there).
While out for lunch at The Pointe restaurant I spotted this awesome 1968 Dodge Charger.
I planned to take a few pics after lunch.

When we got to it, the owner was there with the hood popped.
He was replacing the alternator, but was more than happy to tell me about the car.

He bought it 8 years ago in Illinois and did work to it including new floor pans, digital dash/modern upgrade.
It has a 383 big block with a 4 speed transmission.
Really nice car and he told me it's his only car and daily driver! Too cool!

Very cool indeed . Imagine owning a car ,you can actually repair in any parking lot with just a few open end wrenches . Not having to remove 14 other components before gaining access to the one that needs replacement .
How nice would that be ?

It would almost be worth living in a small town in California or Nevada to daily drive a cool car, almost.

Surprised he didn't just buy a car in Calif.,
save himself a bunch of the extra work...

cool 68 Charger

I am fortunate. I can drive the car pretty much any day of the year here. I don’t drive in the rain intentionally but the car does track well in it despite the tires I have.

Cool 4 speed Charger, but it desperately needs the tail panel trim and a decent set of wheels.

Even up here in snow country, I can 'normally' drive
my cars 10-11 months of the year
past 3 years probably not, extremely wet & snowy winters, not the norm
