Anyone replace a frame rail on a car that was "finished"? I need at least a front segment of the rear frame rail repaired. I replaced the rear section years ago because the front looked ok. Now, I went to install subframe connectors yesterday and found a small hole in the front part of the rail. It looks like I need to replace the front half of the frame and the front spring perch has torn away from the inner rocker and frame. The body is finished and was looking for some advice from someone that may have done this before. Thanks, Bob

Shouldn't be a big issue, cut it out and weld in new. Cover the glass to prevent weld splatter from sticking. I personally cut the bottom of the rail out anyway. Drill the spot welds holding the rail sides. This allows them to be drawn in tight on the connector.

No, I was too disgusted to take any pictures. It looks like I need to repair the inner rocker as well
