In the garage. Under the hood. Again.
Well, after a lot of work and with much trepidation,Laura and I headed out for the Frankenmuth Autofest. Freakin' WOW! I've got some work to do on mine;there were so many fine cars at this show(2300+ registered for the weekend) and only so much time to see them and get pics. So-o-o...just Mopars(except in one pic...) and mostly B-bodies. Did I mention the quality of cars? Wow...enjoy

...and more. I gotta figure out how to add text between or below the pics when using attachments. If it can be done. I'm too lazy to go to my Photobucket account and deal with that right now:tongueflap:

Holy Smokes!! Thats where all the cars were today, there weren't to many cars in Centerline today. I'm about to post some pics up from the WPC show and swap today on another thread. Thanks for the pics, keep them coming!

Interesting timing on that;the Frankenmuth area has a long tradition as a Mopar-heavy area, and there were a ton at this show. Heck, even DPC/Mancini had a spot in the vendor area, and had done well over the weekend. Hell, they got more of my money... Not many "swap meet" type of vendors;just some manufacturers of aftermarket parts, artwork folks(some cool stuff there) and other various and sundry auto-related goods and services. There used to be a swap meet of sorts in years past;perhaps they(cleaned-out-the-garage type of vendor) have been dropped below businesses on the priority scale. Still, lots of cool stuff to be had.

Note to Scotts74Bird: I did not;I repeat,I DID NOT require a jump from a GM product today. The car(and its charging system) were well-behaved. I was saved from further humiliation...:banghead:

thanks for posting these!

Great photography, nice job. I enjoyed seeing the show through your pic. Thanks much! CD

So, did anyone make it to the AutoFest Cruise in Frankenmuth Friday Sept 10?
We made it Friday night to the cruise party downtown. Lots of very sweet rides. Saw many Mopars that now have drool on them. :angel1:

I know some of the Mopar clubs were meeting at certain areas on Saturday and Sunday but I had prior commitments that if I had missed I would be hung :icon_hang: So now I have to live vicariously through others...

Oh, P.s. Let me know if you saw a little Gold Fish (1965 Barracuda) down by the Star of the West milling company. I had it parked by a 1966 Mustang so it would look good ;-)

One further note, you see that Yellow Thing in the background (behind the brown 3rd gen Charger). Well it was uptown friday night and they want $12,900 for it and it is a super sweet ride. Very well done and wayyyy above VW quality now.
My wife saw that and apparently our Orange Thing just got moved up the priority list... Car shows are a dangerous place to be...

My gf hinted that she'd like to be a part of this. However...she saw a few very nice '64-1/2-'66 Mustangs and is leaning that way. Tried to steer her towards a Dart, but there was a 'Stang nearby and she gravitated towards that. I may need help here...

Sorry to say;no. I don't know where he was parked;he(and his lady in the blue RR in the shot below) was on the exit road when I took that(couldn't get my camera ready fast enough to catch a front shot-it shook the ground as well,as did the blue Runner) so all I got was the back. Nice *** on a '64,I must say! And I thought my car's stance was too radical;that orange beast reminded me of a mid 1980's Super Stock car-way down in front, way up in back. There was a BIG motor in both cars, and a lot of others. Hopefully I'll have one in the S.F. someday...
