Freiburger works a 72 RR BB 4sp car he’s had for awhile. Just dropped. 1972 RR

I like how Freiberger thinks he invented ratty muscle cars with the Cheap Thrills Dart he did in the 90’s. I drove my Charger every day back in ‘86 and only had enough money to put into the drivetrain. Bondoed quarters… dents… torn vinyl top. And there were plenty of muscle cars just like it.

Man I wish I had a picture of my old roadrunner from the 80’s. Ratty but I loved it.

My old 383 4 spd beater with a heater.
We lived at that location from 1977 to 1981.
I sold it around the time we moved.

My 70 Charger R/T was in primer until I restored it in 1989. I bought it in 1981. Good to see Frieburger wrenching on a Mopar. I think that is the nicest painted one he owns.

It's time to restore that Charger R/T!

I watched that last night too. I'm down with the brown. It just needs some 440 call outs on the hood and it will be good for me. And ditch the Flowmasters, I hate the drone...

Great looking car, I think it's the nicest looking car he has. A guy in high school had a brand new Runner in the same colour, 400, 3 speed.

I thought the cast crank weighted flywheel issue was weird. How the old flywheel had the wrong weight on it is nuts. I would have expected to pull the flywheel off and see NO weights as the cause of the vibration.

I think it’s more that he glamorized or made the ratty thing more acceptable to many. Before he had the cheap thrills series I was already driving VWs in similar condition, I was glad to see the article because I was sick of people asking when I would make my cars look nice and hoped it signaled a change.
Fast forward decades later and people still constantly asked when I will paint my cars.
