I have a 1967 GTX with the original Hemi motor. It was rebuilt by the best, Larry Sheperd, of Hemi's only. He has been building and rebuilding Hemi's for 50 years and written numerous books. Here are his recommendations for a class hemi that only occasionally is driven.
Pennzoil 20w50 racing oil with a ZDDp addatve. Sunoco 93 ultra gas with either Stabil 360 or Star Tron, four ounces with every tank of gas. Av gas has addatives that are not good and actually has too much lead as does race fuel. He says it will fouled plugs and cause a build up on the valves. I follow his advice and my car has been perfect for over three years.

You know you're screwed if you're over on some LS forum and a guy there with a 93 camaro swap says that AV gas is better for a Hemi that isn't run much, right? I mean, then it will be "on the internet". lol

Oil is constantly changing
get an oil with the ZDDP blended in
do not add ZDDP to LN Oil- they need a calcium based EP
Synthetic type IV or V base stock is way better than any dino oil or group III/ blend
thanks for the tips on the stabilizer
he's absolutely correct on the fouled plugs

The neighbor down the street even goes to him to get a new fan belt. She has a ‘66 Belv II w/hemi. She’s had it for 20 yrs.
