I changed the rear differential in my 69 Coronet R/T and now want to do the front. What weight should I use? Would Royal Purple 75W-90 work? How many pints (or quarts) in the front and the rear?
Thanks,
Mark

Your car has a front differential?????

Sorry, I was up late and drank more than a few beers and I was thinking of my Durango 4x4 so I am a little stupid right now. I want to know the fluid capacity for the rear differential on the 8 3/4. I think I used about two quarts, but it may have been three....

Fill it until you can reach in with your pinky and touch it. DON'T fill it until it's pouring out and then cap it....about 2 quarts should do it.

Thanks, for the help. I am overhauling my Demon, Coronet and my Durango so I do not want to get too many extra quarts of oil, ATF and gear lube. Does anyone know about how many quarts to fill a 440 engine?
