I am hoping to get some help on this. I am wanting to get a new brake hose for a front disc brake. The brakes I believe were sourced from a 1972 car but I am not sure what kind.

Is this a universal type hose or know if local part shops may carry them?

Start with what you think it's from. RockAuto usually has good pictures of the part.

I just installed lines like that on my charger. If you're looking for a hose to fit the factory hard lines and has a banjo fitting on the caliper end you could try check one of these lines depending on the length you need:

12" Hose: 1979-84 Buick Electra
15" Hose: 1979-81 Chevy Camaro, Pontiac Firebird front
17" Hose: 1979-85 Cadillac Eldorado

I used a steel braided 15" hose, Russell part#692030. I bought a set off eBay for $44. Hope this helps.

Those look like factory Mopar KH calipers.

Any hose for a 71-79 B body w/ Disk should work.

If going through a local store they're more likely to show parts for a Cordoba than anything else.

Wait, maybe not on the calipers, but the hose looks the same.

I had some made up locally, braided line with a black sheath covering. Bolted right up with a banjo fitting on 71 B-body calipers. See if there is someone in your area that dose DOT approved lines.

That is what I had to do on my 62 with disk brakes from a 73 I could not find the correct length with a banjo fitting on one end and the correct fitting for the 62 on the other end so I went to a hydraulic shop that was licensed to make DOT hoses If I remember correctly it cost me around $100.00 Canadian. but it solved the problem.

Thank you guys for your help. I did not even think to look at the post 1973 brake hoses and they look about right. I do like the idea of having braided ones made and I might end up going that route.
