Have recently purchased a 70 RR with factory buckets seats. They really do seem to sit VERY LOW......even a buddy of mine who owns a 67 GTX says they sit a lot lower then his. Other then buying one of the 6 way seat tracks are there other options for raising the seat height a couple inches? Different tracks, etc.....There are already red colored spacers under the seat tracks.....did look at how far below the floor the seat track bolts extend and it is not much......maybe an inch at most.....

thanks

What do the seats look like? When I bought my 70 RR it had ~70 something A body seats in it and the angle of the seat bracket was too flat and they sat way too low. The A body brackets were much shorter and had minimal rake as compared to B-body brackets/sliders.

Those studs can be removed.Put some longer ones in and a thicker spacer would be what i would do.Old foam in the seats? You would be shocked at how much higher you sit with some fresh buns.

X2 the buckets in my car had spacers, more than the little ~1/2 factory brittle bakelite, or whatever, ones. IIR they were about an inch 1/4 to 1 and a half in the front and about 1/2 inch less in the back and it was ok as far as the seat angle, but still sat too low. Good low buck solution wannadrag and maybe you'll come across b-body brackets later (if they are A body) soundhd.

You may want to pull your seats right out and check the brackets for additional adjustment that might not be apparent just from looking. On my Satellite, the seats were very low and my shoulder height was about even with the bottom of the window. When I pulled the seats to re-do them, I noticed that the riser brackets have arced slots in them to allow for adjustment of the seat angle and the track brackets have slots about an inch and a half long for more forward and back range. After adjusting, my seats sit right up where they should be now.

Well I did get my question answered over the weekend as to why the seats are so low......it's normal for a 70 RR with front buckets. Was at a car cruise -in and there were few MOPAR folks there and two were 70 RR owners. So will look into the suggestions of how to raise the seat height....thanks
