I'm no six pack expert but ain't the fuel lines on wrong side?

Yes. There is actually a lot wrong here. Not to say it's not a good working setup as is, but from an originality perspective the throttle arm on the center carb is wrong, the bowls are side pivot rather than center, something about the outboard carb throttle levers don't look right either.

Oh, duh, also missing the vacuum diaphragm assemblies and safety linkage. However, the outboard carbs have accelerator pumps, so no vacuum needed. Just need linkage to operate the outboards. This might be an older aftermarket set of carbs.

No where did I say the carbs where correct..If they where it would be 1800 for it...

title just says date code correct intake WITH carbs .. its pretty straight forward.. and confusing at the same time.

Kind of like this ebay ad I just looked at ... picture of the whole dash bezel and then in writing it says included in the aution is the cigarette lighter.. its kind of misleading but not illegal.. its a no return accepted policy auction. They are hoping to get someone not paying attention .. its a popular dupe.. you show a picture and choose your wording to keep yourself out of trouble.

Not saying thats what is going on here but its similar... it could have been listed explaining the carbs are not correct though and avoided any confusion..

But confusion is a sellers friend sometimes... as in the ebay auction I mentioned.. its a 100% dupe using a picture of the whole bezel when only the lighter is in the auction. someone not paying attention will get duped by it for sure.

This ad is just the way its worded .. clear picture though for all to see and to be honest comes with carbs is his way of letting you know they arent correct.. if they were correct I'm sure he would have said date coded carbs as well.

no harm no foul

Yea I wasn't putting it down or anything, do they all work good?

Not sure if you know what you have there or not.

The intake speaks for itself. Original and correct on a $60,000 restored B/E Body.

The carbs are a different story, and an interesting one as well. They were first designed by Holley and sold to Ford for their 390-406 Tri Power engines. After Holley fulfilled their commitment to Ford, they actively marketed the carbs to GM and Chrysler who both had current 3x2 setups on production cars. 67-69 Corvette and 69-71 6 Pack cars

GM was not interested, but Ford made Chrysler a deal they could not refuse, so Ma Mopar decided to market these through Direct Connection over the counter as HP replacement carbs for the performance crowd. They are almost 1400CFM compared to stock 6 pak carbs at 1325 CFM. They use mechanical linkage not vacuum to open the end carbs. They also have side hung float bowls and the end carbs have accellerator pumps and power valves. They were never standard equipment on any production Mopar, thus incorrect for most resto projects, and were intended only for the hobbiest or serious Super Stock racer, when matched with a Weiand tunnel Ram 3x2 intake also sold by DC. I think the carbs were around 400 a set and the intake 250.

Setting current value on the carbs is tough as they are not correct on a 60,000$ resto, but are still worth something for the performance enthusiast. Core price for complete restorable carbs is between 100 and 150 each, maybe more if in mint condition according to carb restoration shops - somewhat less than original 6 pak carbs. Understandable as 6 pak carbs will wind up on 60,000$ cars and these will not. Recoloring carb bodies and replating linkage along with a rebuild and dialing them in runs 6-700 a set for either set up.

So, since new six pack carbs can be had for 1200 or so brand new, I would think these carbs restored would be worth somewhat less than 1200 or so.

Just one mans opinion.....whats yours......?
