I just bought a 15 gal fuel cell to replace the nasty old tank. This will feed my 500 HP 440. I need to plumb the cell to the Holley red pump. My thoughts are to use 37° jic zinc plated fittings( MUCH cheaper) instead of the pricey an fittings. Question is will the zinc fittings that I put on the aluminum cell corrode the aluminum? Has anyone dealt with this yet?

Screw it! I'm gonna use the zinc plated steel fittings.

Sorry have only used the anodized fittings. Dont see why yours would have a problem

they use a lot of zinc plated fittings on heavy equipment.never seen any problems even when attached to aluminum.

We'll I finished plumbing the fuel lines with the steel fittings. No leaks. I ran the vent line to the housing where the filler neck use to be. No gas smell in the trunk. I coated the trunk with black truck bed liner paint, turned out pretty good.
