Im planning on running an autometer fuel gauge as well as my stock gauge.

Can i tap into the stock fuel sending unit wire from the tank for the autometer gauge?

Thank You

I think you'll need to use one or the other. The fuel gauge reads the resistance in the circuit. if you introduce a second gauge, it will disrupt the reading.

The factory fuel gauge reads a VOLTAGE that is reduced by the fuel sender rheostat (connected via the sender wire to the ground side of the gauge) from the full pulsed 5 volts it's supplied by the IVR. Agreed, why you can't hook another gauge in the sender wire!
