fuel tank color

Jut purchased a new fuel tank for my 67 coronet rt and don't know to leave it natural color or black, if someone knows I would really apprecite the info. Thanks, jts

they weren't painted. just had the galvanized coating.

I am almost certain they were natural from the factory.

Thanks for replying, that's the way I am going to go. Usually coat natural metal with matte clear for protection and it don't shine to much.

I went through this a few years ago. I left mine natural, as I believe that is what the factory did.

You could also do a matte clear on it, but I didn't feel that was necessary. Now the hangar for the gas tank I did paint. I believe, at least on my year, it may have been coated. So I just painted it with a metal looking paint.
