HI all, is it possible to remove the fuel tank sending unit in a 1968 Coronet without dropping the tank?? Thanks

I think so,my 65 Belvedere sending unit is near the rear end.so easy to get at.

Yes yours is the same as mine and I just did mind last weekend. Just het the car up high enough off the ground and it is pretty accesible.

Yes, but make sure you don't have much gas in the tank or you will get a bath.

Looks like you got your answer, but I want a free post. So to answer your question, yes you can......

And you can do it like we did when we were younger....... out in the garage late at night, drinking beer, and laying under the car with one of those square halogen shop lights that get REALLY hot and supply a great ignition source for the gas when it spills out.
Luckily it never did but sure had good conditions to! lol. Good luck.
