I have a 64 Polara. The gas tank is rusted beyond saving. What cars will have tanks that will fit in place of mine? Will it just be less expensive to build my own?

Thanks,

Scott

Because if I can find a used tank that will work, or build one less expensive, life (wife) will be better.

I have a 1965 Belvedere and bought a new tank off of ebay for $150.00 and it was made in Canada ,Cant get much cheaper.Look on ebay for Tamraz,s parts

You know the old saying ,a rich man can afford to do it twice ,a poor man can only afford to do it once.

Be sure to ask if the vent tube is welded in.These are not right, too short,Your hose will be too short and no one makes anything but stock.I found this out the hard way.Made my own hose but would of rather had the right tank. The expert suppliers say no one has ever called them about this.Think thats BS!

only 63-64-65 tanks fit! a used tank might beas bad as the one you've got remember it's still 40 yo. Vans parts has them for 150.00. check out gastanks.com

moparsteve636 got mine@ Van's for 66 Satellite the vent tube is too short to meet new rubber hose.Called them&YearOne and they claim mine isn't original if tube slides in&out.I know this bs,but just wondered if there is a tank made like stock?I bought some fuel grade @semi truck repair shop made it work.Just would have nice to know before I bought it,wouldn't work on concourses resto.
