I'm converting my 64 Savoy from race car back to street. I want to eliminate fuel cell. I can't install stock tank because springs have been moved inboard. I don't want to change the suspension. How to locate a tank by measurements, that looks like stock. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Good luck with that idea. Buy a stock tank and chop cut and rebuild. Or fabricate a tank that will fit in that area.

That's already one of the smaller tanks out there. No way would 67-69 A-body work. Maybe early A?? What do they look like??

I was hoping for something that could work, even if it was bowtie or others. Thanks

You could spend, maybe, weeks looking through junk yards for such a unit and not luck out. Fabricate a tank as previously suggested. That way you will get a tank that fits and is new. Senders are available that should work.

How far in have the springs been moved? My springs are moved into the frame rails and I use a stock tank.

Unless the rails have been moved a stock tank should fit. At least looking at my 69 the tank is in between the rails. If the floor was cut to drop a cell in than he will have to source a trunk floor and upper mounting saddles.

I guess my best solution is to modify or fabricate one. It's a to bad that you can't locate a tank by measurements and location of inlet. Thanks to all.
