Just wondering what the difference between full sweep gauges and electrical gauges. I noticed on the jegs website there were full sweep gauges for $250 and electrical for $75. Whats the difference other than $. Thanks

Full sweep gauges show a very accurate reading. Mechanical type are cheaper but you have to run "lines" for the oil pressure & water temp. Electrical full sweep work the same way as the stock gauges in a Mopar Rally gauge cluster.......senders at the engine end, wiring between the senders and the gauges. Mechanical seem to be more dependable.
Tip: if you go with mechanical type, run the plastic oil pressure line in a rubber vacume hose before you install it.....keeps it from getting damaged. Hope this helps

I like to use mechanical gauges almost always, the exception being late model vehicles. Thanks for the oil line tip. I never thought of that before, but now I'm gonna use it every time.

A lot of the full sweep electrical gauges use a stepper motor and a small circuit board in the gauge. It's supposed to be far more accurate but you pay.
