Two weeks ago while in my garage i find my old Road Runner. Not that its been lost, but just hidden from view. I try not to think about it but it hasnt been started or moved in ten years. Yes you can call me names. Im not the original owner but i have owned it for 23 years. It only racked up 42,000 miles before it found me. And im sad to say i only put another 2,500 on it. From a Maryland salvage auction. To Vrigina, to Missouri, A faded orange Road Runner with a vee in the front sits waiting. The RR goes for $300 dollars.gets put on a rollback and heads to Va. I buy the car for $1200 bucks. And drive it home to Missouri. I have done little to the car collected some parts found a new bumper at a yard $25 bucks, off a yellow RR with air grabber hood. I pass on the hood to much $250 Again feel free to call me names. Well you know the story got a wife, two kids, 115 year old house, a job, and before you know it i cant find the car in my garage. So now with the help of the fine people of this site. Im going to put the RR back on the road. and thought you may want to watch. and i need support and motivation. Its Vin is RM21N0G a 383 4spd 3.55 gear suregrip, bench seat, factory amfm, with p/s The pics i have dont show the front damage, but lets just say its very light. I cant belive that they totaled it. But 20 years ago it was just an old car.

Just don't sit there in front of you computer screen.....Get to work!!!!!

motivation enough?

My god man!! you're gonna need the jaws of life to get that thing out of there!
Think you're good on the gas jugs bud. We hit another gas embargo, i'm coming to your house.

What's the old ride next to your bird?

Thats a 29 ford model A. It was on sale i had to buy it. I have a 16x24 one car garage with two cars, and enough parts to build one more, and my sons lawn mowing bus. no elec. all my tools a 24ft above ground pool, an old wood stove and my 5hp briggs powered bar stool. The parts to build one more are for my sons 70 Swinger, and it didnt fit in the garage. Maby i should start a thread on building a bigger garage first. Naaaa.

This one is going to be good, we'll motivate you, we'll even hound you if we don't see regular progress. Good Luck and get busy!.

Thanks guys. It stays light late enough to work outside when i get home from work. So now all i need is a truck load of money, and a bigger garage. The old tin thats next to the bird is a 29 ford model A, dont be to quick to judge, i would someday like to build a rat rod out of it, with an old style hemi sittin between the rails.

my youngest son ian now 9 loves rat rods , so i see us (ME having) to build one in the future . Any show we go to he has to check them out (50's HEMI) would be a must . Some of the gadgits on those cars are reaally creative .

Hey Prop, let's get him Tiki Torches so he can work late into the night. Or we can use the torches to go after him like frightened villagers.....

Now, where did I leave that pitchfork?.....

Looks like a good one to start with. The A bone could be a fun project also,i'm a rodder also and love the looks of a chopped and channeled A.Have a rat t bucket and 37 chevy gasser also including a 70 RR.

I did just that, i spent most of the day pulling all that stuff out. I did find the floor and parts from my old 69 340 GTS Dart that i didnt even know i still had. My son was happy, that stuff is going in his 70 Swinger, and thats parts he was saving up for. :santa: Sunday i need to finish early got family over for Easter. wont even try to do anything with the car, wash it. I have duty next weekend, so the week after will be the first chance ill have to work on it. Oh i did hang a light in the garage. My project is almost underway:yes:

:rolling: No doubt huh... Poor guy will be peacefully working in the garage when all of a sudden......."Lights in the Distance". "Great, here comes those f**ckin weirdo's from the FBBO again!!!" We'll all show up like the old spagetti westerners on a lynch mob.

You know the ones, where they show 85 guys with torches and guns but the sound reflects 3 guys yelling aimlessly in a padded room.

Hey Rat...we're coming man!

Hey Rat....Coming along nicely! Thanks for leaving at least one gas jug in the picks for me...You're alright man!

I wanna be in Propwash's head, it sounds really fun in there!!,
Good job on cleaning out the garage there Rat Killer, much better, it even got me motivated to come work on it!

Acme, don't worry about not moving or seeing it for 10 yrs. There's a whole host of problems that come with that neglect, but, now, it seems like a new discovery! Enjoy! And share pics with us to!
