Its in a 69 charger I put a sump in it over the winter and want to use my gauage. I never seen how they are set up from factory wiring on the sending unit so anyone that knows can you help please. I had the gauage wire all hooked up and I grounded it off the sending unit and the gauage only read half but now that I have the sump and lines off the back it doesnt work at all. So any help would be great Thanks

I BELIEVE YOU NEED To GROUND THE TANK AS WELL as the sending unit. run another ground from the chassis to the tank. i bet it works then.

I know this might sound stupid but where do u ground the tank? I know where to ground the sending unit but can't think of where to run a wire from the tank. Thanks

JUST use a alligator clip and clip it on the side where its real thin. the seam.then go up to the frame with either a nother alligator clip or a crimp on eye hole connector.thats the ticket.:icon_confused:
