Gas tank filler neck install

I checked the service manual for what to use but it said suitable rubber lube??? what is a suitable rubber lube that will not allow the fuel to seep by it.

I have always used liquid dish soap on the filler neck and O-ring. The filler neck will slip in easily, and I've never had one leak.

Me too ! It works GREAT and isn't harmful to the rubber either !

Oh man that is great...in this day in age with all the chemicals and lubricants that is the first thing I was thinking of. Thanks guy's I never would have figured on dish soap LOL.
