so I acquired this car a little over a year ago, I'm beginning to work through some of the nagging issues and concerns I've had over that year. As with many of our cars we found in this price point, the previous owner has gerri-rigged things, shade treee mechanic or simply cut corners to save a buck.

the dash harness was the beginning of my head shaking things to fix. Now I'm on to the gas take fuel system. I went to change the fuel filter and found the hookups a bit confusing.

Background:
former 318 car - Satellite Sebring Plus
now a Mopar performance crate 360 setup

- new gas tank
- new sending unit

Problem:
it appears that they put the new tank in but no venting that I can see. the multiple connectors on the tank are simply plugged off, I think this is wrong.

also there are two hardlines that run up to the engine compartment on the pass side and end at the A arm area, only one has a flex line to the filter then the fuel pump. the other liine is not connected.

I don't have a problem that I am aware of except on hot days the car is hard to start when hot, seems to be starved for fuel. Popping the gas cap releases a lot of pressure, not having a car like this previously I don't know if thats expected or not. but this does seem to hep get the car started better.

I think things are not connected correctly and may be causing vapor lock.

Ideas??

Your pretty gracious with calling past goodwrench work gerri-rigged. I tend to go with "half-assed kobble job" or "the last guy that owned this was a dumbass." Also the notorious "what a joke!"

I know a majority of cars came with a in line, a return, and a vent, but I don't have a service manual for your car. I know there are plenty of guys that will be chiming in to help you out...Good luck!
