gas tank strap

anyone know how many straps to hold the gas tank on 66 coronet mine only has one but I would think it should have two any thoughts on this

Should be 2. Look for a second slot in the frame somewhere. I have an extra one if you need one PM me.

1 strap on my 66 Belvedere,looks the same

66 and 67 used one strap. With the spare tire well in the trunk the strap wedges it in there nice and tight.

I just changed the tank in my 67gtx and it had 1 strap. I would think yours is the same.

Well thanks all I thought it would be one strap cause I didn't see holes for two but could you tell me what those two brackets bolted to the frame are?

You know, those are what were on mine. For some reason I was thinking it was hitch mounts. Now I'm not sure.

found out what those brackets on the rear of the frame are for. they are for transport to tie the car down on rail cars or co car carriers
