How accurate do you find our gauges to be?

My gas gauge seems ok, but my oil pressure seems way high---almost pegging the scale.

My temp gauge reads (what appears) to be low--left of center--with a 195 thermostat. I moves slightly hotter depending on the outside temp or humidity.

My ammeter barely moves.

I've cleaned all the connections and swapped out a few of the gauges for different ones--same readings.

Just curious as to what everyone sees.

I have found that not grounding the gauges and sending units very well are usually the issue. There is some good info on testing gauges and sending units on the autometer website.

My gas gauge with the change in tanks is off a bit. My ammeter gauge barely moves also unless I have the headlights on at night. The oil pressure gauge doesn't move around much but I wouldn't expect it to. My temperature gauge runs about center unless I let it idle a bit longer than normal. It will move over a little bit to the right.

Temp: aftermarket. Fuel: Won't go much past 1/2. Amp: disconnected to prevent fire. Oil pressure: near pegged most of time but working.

69 Coronet. Most owners will give the same readings.

I’ve owned a few mopars over the years and the gauges work OK meaning they have decent repeatability. However you need to figure out what is “nominal”. The factory gauge is for reference. After driving the car around for a while you’ll notice if you are running hotter than normal just by your gauge or your amp meter is indicating charge or discharge all the time. Although the gauges are not really calibrated they do work better than idiot lights. My amp meter moves in unison with my directional blinker.
