I have 1967 Plymouth belvedere that I went to try and get aligned and denied because the gear box has to much slop. Were can I find another one? Oh and yes I have power steering

FirmFeel, oriellys, napa just to name a few. I would try firmfeel first, they do steering boxes in different levels, check them out.

Call dick at firm feel.

I sent them my steering box out of a 73rr and they took alot of play out of it.

They did a nice job

You can go with any B body box up to 79 with out changing your coupler. Beware 72 and newer have a different Pittman and idler arm you will need those to go with the pump. In 75 the input shaft also got bigger. So you'd need the coupler to use those. The last of the 5th Ave cars all had firm feel which is a great up grade as it gives you faster steering with the feel of todays RWD cars. Just be sure to get both arms and the coupler. Firm feel is a rip off. You can buy everything you need for half the money at any parts store.

Is the slop inside the box? If so then have you tried adjusting it? There is a screw and a lock nut on top. Turn the screw in to remove slop, but be careful and don't make it too tight or it will bind on turns. It sounds like the box needs to be gone through but this adjustment may get you through the alignment shop.

:happy1:please do tell about the 5th Ave years.
