Okay everyone
Anyone in So Cal should make an attempt to visit Gene Winfield's "Annual Open House this coming October in Mojave CA.

I'll be there and I think the Bladecutter is trying to make an appearance.
PS: We LOST Bill Hine's 2 years ago

Yeah Gene is certainly really an Icon in the industry
he's chopped mores cars in a year, even at 89-90 y/o,
than most custom builders "do in a lifetime"

IIRC he was the 1st & IIRC he invented the fade too,
dark to light from bottom to top {or where ever}
to make the lines look better,
more narrow looking/appearance, shows off the lines better
at the bottom or where ever it's used etc.

still going strong @ 90 something { IIRC ?}

And a few years ago I met Bill Hines there!

The 'Bee charmer"
Righto Skister!! Have always dug Winfield's work, will be great to see some in living color. A Guy You mentioned a few posts back,,Larry Watson, also no longer with Us,, i met Larry a few times while kicking around Santini's in Westminster. I worked behind Larry a few times sanding & polishing His paint. He was a nice, humble Guy....always liked to sit & talk to me over Hav-A-Tampas.....the wood tip cigars which i was smoking in those days.
A Friend of mine had that 58 T-Bird that Larry did in the late 50's,,,the purple with white scallops. Rick sat on the car for about 10 years & then sold it.....of course He kicks Himself repeatedly for that eff-up.
