russell lines.jpg#1) My DANA 60 is being built right now. Narrowed to fit my 36" spring perches, Moser 35 Spline Axles, Moser 4.30 Spool, Forged Yoke and transplanting my 11" Drum Brakes to this rear end with all new brake lines along with my complete Cal Track Traction Bars and Mono-Leaf Springs and 9 way Adj RR Cal Track Shocks. Rear end will be ready to install about Aug 28

#2) New Autometer Memory Play Back Tach installed and ready to go.

#3) Mallory Return Style Fuel Pressure Regulator all plumbed up (with return line to fuel cell) and ready to go with new AN Fittings and Russell Stainless Steel Hose.

#4) ET Genie adjustable Restrictor Plate to dial in my ET.

#5) I rebuilt the entire front suspension with new Ball Joints, A-Arm Bushings, etc and new Cal Track 90/10 front shocks and new Moroso DS-2 front Tires. Then I had it aligned to a perfect 4 degrees positive Caster, -.5 degrees negative Camber and 1/4" Toe InMemory Tach.jpgDANA.jpgaligmnt.jpgreg 1.jpgreg 2.jpgreg 3.jpgrest 1.jpgrest 2 (2).jpg

Still hope it goes anywhere between 10.50 and 10.80 at 124mph to 128mph.

I decided NOT to run it until the DANA 60 is installed. Didnt want to take any chances blowing my 8 3/4.

what size return line are you using? thinking of doing the same thing. what size feed?

I am sure it will run great with a pro racer like you prepping the car. Best of luck to you Mike on the maiden passes ! Ron

Mike, my son and I put in the complete Caltrac rear susp. kit in our 64 dodge and I must say even after all these years and combos that I'm really impressed with it and it goes straight where you point it. I hope you have results also.

cars & combo's is looking good

good luck, I hope you go lots of rounds

I am using 6AN size fuel line for the line from the fuel cell into the regulator and back to the fuel cell on the return line from the regulator. MSD recently bought Mallory and the Regulator was $135 from Summit and the Regulator Mount, AN Fittings and the Russell Braided Line was about another $180, for a total of about $315 for the whole deal.

And....a big thanks to you all you fellow MOPAR guys. I hope the car performs as well as it should.
For Sept, Oct and Nov I have 8 races on my schedule....starting with the Summitt Series Race at Famoso (Bakersfield,CA) on Spet 11,12 & 13th.

good luck Mike .
Look forward to your results .
I run -8 to carb , -6 return . as a feed I would have said -6 is too small

Tex

Tex... Mallory says to run AT LEAST the same size return line as the feed line. I am doing 6AN on both so, according to Mallory the 6AN in and 6AN out is ok. I just dont know if it needs 8AN for in and out...?

I suggest calling Malory... your return line should be larger than your supply line. I ran -10. And avoid the hard 90 degree fittings. Seen several cars have fuel related gremlins. ... until they got rid of the 90's.. but I have seen others work fine with them tooo.. just my bad luck.. I would call Malory though on sizing the return.. -8 looks small.

Mike, you're gonna have to get those fuel lines away from the firewall to pass tech. Who is doing your Dana? You've inspired me to get mine done, I have all the parts now except the axles - now I need to find somebody to do it.

Nice set up Mike can't wait to hear how it runs. I have the same regulator, really like the o ring fittings. Ran 8an from tank and on the return.
Curious about the tach. Where and how did you mount it. I couldn't get a large tach to fit w/o trying to fab up a custom bracket(man these 66/67 dashes are small compared to my ebody). Had to use a smaller tach on the column and wire up a 2 step so the shift light would light at my stage rpm and and shift rpm.

Here are some pixs of my Tach installation.

In the 2nd pix you can see the metal Tach bracket that is screwed to the bottom of the dash PLUS then I have the 2 aluminum bars coming up to that bracket. The Tach kinda vibrated going down the track until I installed those 2 bars. It is now "rock solid" and does not vibrate going down the track.

It may look kinda wierd but I wanted the Tach "right in my face" as I go down the track. I do use the shift light but I also want to "see" the tach without looking down.

Also the 2 different buttons I push to start and stop the memory tach recording the run are just right there and very easy to reach and push to start the recording and push to stop the recording at the end of the run.

Fearless Gear in Fresno,CA is doing my Dana 60 but there should be shops in the Las Vegas area.

In regards to the fuel lines, I think I am ok. NHRA says just "no fuel regulators or fuel blocks" mounted to the firewall and on any fuel lines going past the transmission flex plate area have to be Steel Braided Hoses, which mine are.

They also say any Fuel Pressure Regulator must be at least 6" away from the Transmission Flex Plate area, which mine is, as it is mounted on the carb bracket.

Thanks Mike that was how I figured you had to set up the tach. Looks nice. Mine is going to also be a street car so I'll just keep the smaller tach. If It was drag only I would do it very similar to yours.
Best of luck and I hope it surpasses your goals.

I agree w/the lines Mike. I've ran them that way for yrs. As long as braided you are fine.
