Welcome from SE PA!

Tell us some about your car. Race car only? Street strip car?

Welcome to FBBO. Best site on the net for b bodies. Great forum for asking questions, buying or selling parts, or just general stuff. Looks like you have a nice ride there.

Well it's about time.... welcome! What size are those rear meats?

Ok ...Long story and This IS the short version.....I wanted a 71 since i saw the King racing in NASCAR....i was 5 or 6 around 1971.....Flash forward to 1982 , my Dad and I started to help me find one ....1983 ..local paper ( Asbury Park Press ) ran a 'Fussy Customer Love a Deal ' to clear out dealer lots , cars from $9.57 to $957.00 (all marked down from asking prices.....yadda, yadda, yadda.....I got my dream car for $9.57...( $71.o3 tax temp reg., and dealer prep of rolling up the seat belts for me) drove it from the dealer lot to a motel next door to it to put it on a tow dolly ( I was 15 )....towed it home........put in a reman motor and new trans and drove it to school on my !& birthday (Metallic brown w/ black vinyl top) Real RM23N1R by the way......drove it awhile as i built a 11.75 to 1 ,'67 closed chamber headed .040 383for it and put that in, B&M shift kit.tore the car down to the last bolt and drove around like that....then "fell into " aladder baralum. coil over kit....then I knew a guy that wrecked his brand X racer and got the Dana dirt cheap, then the rims from some one who was going to tub another brand X but wheels were too big ( 15x15 ) for him and while working at myy old job one Labor day weekend, pulled the car in on a Friday night and driving it out the following Tuesday morning, I have what you see here. 31oo miles on a new front end motor and trans and about 5 passes on the rear.....feels like a new car. Yes ,I plan on driving it on the street, yes I expect low 10s to high 9s at Etown (w/the nitrous ) and finally yes that WAS the short version ( PS I'l post the adds from the sale and my receipt when I scan them to the computerScan_Pic0001.jpgView attachment 281223Biggies.jpg
