I have a set of DS & PS sport mirrors that I want to send off to Tri-city for chrome plating. Anyone know how to get the glass out without breaking it? Thanks!

I really don't know but what if you soaked the whole mirror in some Lacquer thinner? It might soften up the adhesive on the back of the mirror.

I had to replace the cut cables on my '73 last year and from what I remember, there is a screw that holds the pivot bracket that you remove and everything comes out. It's tough to get to. You have to adjust the mirror all the way to one corner and you will see the phillips head way down there.
