Hi, I am working on re-installing the side windows on my 66 Charger - Vent, front and quarter windows on both sides. (Fun? No...)

I am replacing all of the rubber, including the U-shaped rubber strip that goes around the bottom edge of the vent windows and holds the chrome frame (with the pivot) to the glass. The same style U-shaped rubber strip is used to hold the stainless trim to the leading edge of the quarter windows.

I have been able to locate suppliers for all of the other rubber pieces, (vent window seals, quarter-to-side glass weatherstripping) but cannot seem to find anyone who sells these U-shaped rubber strips. (I was hoping to post a picture showing the cross-section of this piece, but mine totally disintegrated during removal.)

Does anyone know what this piece is called? Maybe I'm using the wrong term in my search. Or even better - does anyone know who makes this part? I almost wonder if it's not some "universal" item that was used for various makes, model and years. Maybe I can buy a 6 foot roll and cut to fit? (as long as I'm wishing, I'd also like a pony...)

Thanks!

try calling fran bishop racing(advertising to the right--->)and see if they have it or any suggestions.
