Looking at getting a scoop hood for my charger. It’ll have a 400 stroker with an Indy single plane topped with a Holley 950 Ultra XP. I have a 995 cfm king demon dominator, but I’d need to run a spacer or find another manifold.

First off, has anyone had any experience with glasstek?

The scoop is available in 4 1/4 and 5” versions.

Should this intake and carb/ air cleaner clear 4 1/4? Or is it best to get it in the car and measure everything?

This is the look I was going for. I guess that’s 4 1/4?

They quoted like $1700-1800 shipped.

Personally to me that scoop looks wrong meaning cheap. I had a 6 pack scoop on my 69 charger and loved it. This is the scoop I had.

Is 4” plenty? Or is 5 safer?

Can't speak to your Charger but I have a 440 (taller deck) with Indy single plane and the '70 air grabber air cleaner going into my'69 RR with A12-style hood. Did a mock-up and things look like they'll easily clear a "stock height" scoop.

Any ideas on the height of the hood in the photos? I like the look. I just don’t have much info on the scoop size.

Some people don't like scoops on Chargers, but I doo. I have several with flat hoods on them I wanted to change it up on the convertible. The Hemi scoop looks good too. It gives the car attitude.

I built this hood for my other 70 Charger R/T. I had a 71 Charger R/T hood that was wrecked in the front edge so I grafted the bulge hood onto a 70 Charger hood.
