I am starting to restore the glove box door on my GTX. It appears that someone else has tried this. On the metalized plastic, someone has oversprayed some black on it.

Does anyone know any way to remove the black from the plastic without harming the plastic itself, thus keeping its shine?

that's a tough one...pretty much anything you can take paint off with, will burn the plastic. you could try goof 2. its water based. i took off dye of the knee pad pretty effectively.

There's no way of removing the over spray without messing up the chrome finish!
