When General Motors emerged from bankruptcy they broke into 2 companies. GM kept all the assets and MLC(Motor Liquidation Company) took on all the debt. In Sioux City Iowa there was an AC Rochester Plant that made starters. The business was leaking toxic chemicals into ground water and GM was held liable to clean it up. MLC stopped monitoring and paying for the clean up one year ago and is now in arrears for more than $200,000 and has no plans to pay anything further. F!@# all the lawyers, judges, and scum bags who allow this stuff to happen. I will certainly remember this in future car buying opportunities. Whew, had to vent, I feel much better now.
