I figured folks on this forum would get a kick outta the craziest car salesman in the West... it's Cal Worthington and his dog, Spot!

Ask for a discount on all the cars with hoods caved in from the cat jumping from car to car. He reminds of Art Grindle or even Ralph Williams....both in Houston way back...both crooks to the max. Art was used cars and Ralph and my dog Storm had a new car dealership and even sold train wreck repaired cars as new.

I do remember Cal Worthington, we had his dealerships in Sacramento Ca. & Anchorage Ak., lots of dumb adds & sales promotions, mostly on late night TV stuff...

A buddy and I went to Ralph Williams once and found a used 69 RT Charger and they lets us take it on a test drive. Mind you, we were only 19 at the time lol. My buddy drove, I jumped into the back and the sales **** rode shotgun. Robert hammered it as soon as we got out on the street and left nice long black marks and the **** never said a word lol. Got back and the **** asked when he thought and Robert asked how much.....well, that's too much and we walked away .

Back in the day my dad and I would browes the lot of Cal Worthington Dodge in Inglewood Cal, he actually still has a lot near San Diego, although if I'm not mistaken I think he passed not to long ago...the funnist ad of the bunch in my opinion was him riding an elephant dressed as a sultan , wearin his white stetson....great stuff !!!!!! thanks for diggin it up....NOW if we could just find the Felix Dodge ads....theres a bunch of Felix Chebby stuff but I can't find any Felix Dodge..in Compton Cal

According to Wikipedia, Cal is still kickin' at 91 years old. Kind of amazing he didn't get killed by a tiger or a bear on the lot.

He still makes them. See him on tv from time to time. Have not seen the tiger in a long time though.

He still has a Ford dealership in Long Beach Calif off the 405 freeway and Bellflower Blvd. Like he says He'll see ya there.
