I'm pretty sure they did. I had one, I bought in 72 that way and I am certain it was original. I have seen several since and one other in my home town back in 72 or 73.No way to get something correct because
No gold hood stripe came from the factory
on that car.
Wow, I would have bet good money that the gold stripe on my old black road runner was a factory option. Now 44 years later, I'm not so sure. It Looked just like the car at this site *http://www.classicnation.com/1970-plymouth-road-runner/ * That's several vehicles I have seen with the same paint scheme. Coincidence, dealer option, factory option, I don't know. Any other thoughts?<br>
I may be mistaken, but weren't side stripes a Plymouth thing (gtx, roadrunner dust stripe), and tail stripes a dodge thing (superbee)? I don't recall ever seeing a roadrunner with a tail stripe..
