hey guys,
I just bought a set of axles, spool, gears and a complete dana 60 housing( 1 ton) with a 4.10 sure grip carrier. I am not sure what width the rear end would be( I called mark williams and am still waiting for the specs). I do know that the axles measure 49.5" total length not including the spool. So I think it would measure something along the 55-56" flange to flange the axles are 40 spline and the gears are 4.56 pro gears.I guess my question is how deep into the spool should the axle sit? so that I can get an idea of the width, I am not sure this will fit the satellite without cutting it up.I dont want to spend more money having the housing narrowed and built if I cant use the axles. the dana has 4.10 and a sure grip now so I may just order some other axles and go that route. your input is much appreciated.
