Congrats & a great run, especially for a true driver,{driven to the track} with mufflers & pump gas... Impressive...

Congrats, Good for you, just don't see many street driven old Mopars running 10's. It's one thing to have tags on it and another to actually drive it to the strip! Have you posted the specs for your motor anywhere, would like to check out the build.See you at the Cow Palace in a couple months.

Nice job Ron !! and congrats !! ... i hope to be there sometime soon ...... too bad you coldnt make it down to Dinwiddie, VA .....

Congrats Ron, way to go!:icon_super:

Great job.

Makes you wonder what it would run with open headers and some race fuel?

great job. nice running real driver on pump gas. Congrats!!

Congrats !!! 10 bucks says that your hope for a 10 second street car hasnt ended there, I think youll be looking for a 10.50s time slip in the near future, at least you better be !!!! That how we progress ....

I cant thank everyone enough for the kind comments.

Most of you know the combo but for those who dont:

440 block .030 over

440Source stroker kit with w 4.15 crank (493 cubes) and dished pistons for 10.6 comp with the Indy EZ heads I use that were prepped by Dwayne Porter.

The EZ heads are opened up to Max Wedge size and have a little bowl blending as Dwayne did a great job.

Dwayne Porter also speced the cam for me that is a solid flat tappet and it is 264 & 270 @ .050 with .628 & .630 lift with the Hughes 1.6 rockers. It has a 110 LSA and I have it in on a 106 ICL.

Has the Indy dual plane intake with an 850 DP.

Mallory dist with the MP orange box and Acell coil as the ign never missed a beat.

TTI 2" headers with a 3" X-pipe system out to the rear bumber.

727 with manual v/b and Dynamic 9.5 converter that flashes about 4200.

8-3/4 (I plan to look into a Dana soon) with 4.30's and I use a Hoosier radial slick 30 x 9.

Car weighs 3700 with me in it. I shifted at 6k and trapped about 6400 as thats where it felt good.

I dont think I will ever plan to get in the nines for my street car. I figure 10.0's at the most because 9's is much more hassle with rollbars and NHRA lisence and all that. I do still remember in the 70's all I wanted was a 12 second street car and when I built this all I wanted was an 11 second street car when I first built it. But hey I figure now I have to run 10's if I dont want some stock supercharged Vette to beat me thats right off the showroom floor ! Ron

Thanks again for all the kind replies. Ron
