Hello, Got a Grant wheel for my 65 Satellite , 1" spacer #4001 is on B/O and looks like Grant is going out of business,
Has anyone install a Grant wheel and do you really need this spacer? Thanks

I have put on a few, the spacer was mainly used for clearance like signal switch etc. Not all cars needed the spacers...where as some did.

Al, have you got one on yours, Thanks

Where did you see that Grant is going out of business? What is the actual part number of the wheel you have? Normally you just need the Grant #4310 installation kit unless it's a special wheel.

All the suppliers are telling me that another firm is taking over? The Wheel is part # 1139. They have the #4310 sitting for me. Maybe don't need it ?

If your wheel has 3 holes plus the center hole to attach it, you only need the #4310. The spacer is necessary if your wheel attaches with 5 bolts. (can't tell from the pictures).

Ya just checked. My wheel is a Signature Series #"1139, only 3 mounting holes, with the 4310 install kit, The 1" adapter #4001 must be just to extend for clearance or something, Got Wheel from Summit, Got install kit waiting there till this B/O part 4001 comes in, Already paid for these 2 parts ( back in Jan) Still telling me I need adapter with delivery Maybe June, This is really a piss off if I find out I don't need 4001 (. Oh by the way, they sent me a Flaming river adapter 1,st which wasn't any where near correct, I Paid to send it back

Yes that is really all the spacers are for is clearance..alot od A bodys need them, rthey sell 2" as well.
As for the installation kits...they got ya...you always need them LOL

Just have Summit send you the #4310 kit and install it. The picture of the #4001 looks like it adapts a 3 hole kit (4310) to a 5 hole wheel, which you don't have.

#4310 worked for my '62 and a Mooneyes wheel.... Gave me a lot more leg room:
