My name is Mick Richards and I've just decided to pull my 66 Belvedere II out of the garage, after 30 years, and redo it. The car was purchased from a little old lady in 1984 and was never touched - kids went to private schools - but now I have the time and a little money to 'restore' it. 71,000 miles but 30 years in a garage has taken a toll. I'll be asking for advice on parts suppliers and any issues specific to this car that I should be looking for. I'm happy to be hear and hope to share what I learn from this build.

Hi Mick!
Welcome aboard!
Thanks for joining the forum.

Car sounds great...send us some pics please?

Sarasota FL. She bought the car new, drove it 4 years until her husband died and it sat in her garage until I bought it in 1984. The car is currently deconstructed but I will find some photos - no digital pics in 1984 - and post. Thanks for the warm welcome.

That is a long time to be de-constructed. Hopefully, parts have not 'wandered off'. There are a few of us on here that have been through the `66 and `67. Hopefully we will be able to provide insight and/ or photos should the memory get a bit hazy.

welcome to FBBO from sunny NorCal

Welcome to fbbo. I bet the toll taken by sitting in a garage for 30 years isnt anywhere near as bad as it would have been if it were on the road all that time. That has to be a solid car

The body has one bad spot, rt rear quarter behind the drive wheel. That is being replaced. Other than that it's solid. Here's a photo, obviously before it was taken apart.
