GTX hood insert colour

G'day. Could anyone tell me what the original colour of the hood insert was on a '70 GTX? Was it painted black like the blackout stripe or was it the Argent Silver? :VB toast:

The potmetal piece would be either body color if the car had no hood stripe or flat/semi-gloss black with the stripe.

The insert plate with the engine callout would be silver for the 440.

Thanks for that mate. I was pretty sure that it was the same as the stripe, but I wanted to double check as mine was painted silver when I got the car. Thanks for the reply.
