Going over to my brothers later and have a fathers day cook out. My ol' man's 89 now, still drives and for most part is in good health. Altho he is getting a little nuttier as time goes. We didnt always get along. I left his house @ 18, but now he lives in one of mine. I brought rock n roll , long hair and a whole bunch of other stuff into his world a long time ago. Being the oldest , I was the lucky one that got to " break him in" for my younger siblings. Fortunatley we worked out our differences over the years. I'm glad he's still around.

Got a nice letter from my oldest(son) via text message which was really nice when I read it. Got a message from my wife's middle son which he is not one to say things for occasions,so I felt pretty special. My 2 oldest daughters sent me a message, now just need to hear from the 2 youngest ones and my day is complete.

Took my dad to a car show in the coronet with me today. A bit of father/son bonding. Plenty of food, a few beers, loads of lovely cars. And the Dodge won a trophy for good measure.
He totally enjoyed the day out as did I. Now I just gotta get him to buy a mopar to call his own. I love you dad but NO you can't borrow the keys to mine lol.
