Levi’s jeans are not what they used to be.
I’ve had several pairs blow out like this lately.
All I was doing was getting up and down while doing some plumbing repairs. Jezzzzz

That happened to me last summer. I now buy all of my jeans at Goodwill. Non Levi brand jeans are $5.29 and the last couple I've purchased are like brand new. You can get the Levi jeans for $9 if you so desire.

It don't matter what jeans I buy.. after a few months they all end up exactly like this. I'm in my 30s and run heavy equipment for a living so a lot of up and down and stretching and over reaching rather than climb down and back up machines.. just junk jeans now days

I used to wear them until they moved their operations to Mexico. s soon as they did that I stopped buying
them. York Peppermint Patties are all made in Mexico too. No Peppermint Patties for me! If you can't make
it here, I don't want it.

When I go thru Sam's or Costco, and house jeans are $15, and Levi's are $35 or $40, it becomes a complete no-brainer.
I haven't bought a pair of Levi's in fifty years.

I used to love silver tab Levi's. And of course they stopped making them. I have been wearing Carhartt ever since. Expensive, but I easily get 5+ years out of one pair.

I stopped buying Levi’s over 30 years ago. I just couldn’t justify the cost when compared to Lee or Wrangler jeans. I don’t need name brand anything to wear. I get all my jeans at the outlet mall for about 9 bucks a pair, they might be 13 bucks now after the great hoax, but still damn cheap. I get black Wrangler work pants at Walmart for 5 bucks a pair. I also get a lot of shirts and such at goodwill, AMVETS ( my fav), and other second hand stores.

Just buy them pre - ripped with holes in them like everyone else , for the same price or more , problem solved

When I was a kid my mom would use those stiff iron on patches on my jeans. This of course regulated them to “play pants”. Now when they rip, they go in the trash.

Like everything these days it seems quality is no longer #1!!! All for the sake of the almighty $$ and the bottom line...cr8crshr/Bill :usflag: :usflag: :usflag:

Yes - levis went to krap quality-wise many moons ago. Stopped buying them for political reasons about that time.
Wranglers are much better and less expensive. Carhartts are good [ and expensive] but stopped using those due to their stance on the jab. Roundhouse is good, old fashioned heavy duty stuff but hard to find.
Quality ANYTHING is like frog's hair any more.
