just trying to see if i should use it on my car
I have used POR and so far no problems…pretty solid $hit. Thinking about doing the entire undercarriage with the white coat (WW1 car).
I live where it's dry so I'm probably not the best referral. A few words of advice if you use it. Don't get it on your skin. It will suck every drop of moisture out of your body.......I itched for days.
Thats weird that you say that, because moisture is what is supposed to cure this stuff. You live in a dry area and it works. I live in a humid area and it peels. I don't know?????????
I have to chime in. I have a friend that is the national salesman for por. He gave me a bunch when restoring my car. He said make sure you follow the directions. I did exactly as they said. I'm not a fan. It pealed within a couple months. He told me I did something wrong. He came to my house and personally helped me with the prep and installation. Same thing happened. It peeled in a couple months. I also spoke with some others that he sold paint to and they weren't pleased either. Not trying to bash the product, but I just don't believe in it.
no doubt!LOL, maybe it sticks to flesh better that body metal?
the spotweld cutter worked fine as long as you "started" the center hole. The drill bit seems like a good idea, but might wear out quickly.I think maybe i should have checked deeper myself with this stuff, i did do some reading on it and reviews and thought this stuff was a positive product, i know everyone isn't going to be using the same materials and company's but i try to do the homework before getting any products, But i now am forced to use what i have because im not one who can afford to buy something im not going to use and just go out and buy whats next lol, my wallet doesn't work quite that good!
Thanks CMedeir0s for starting this subject!! Speaking of different products i see the Blair spot weld cutter has changed from a holding pin in the middle to a drill bit, may be better!
no doubt!

Just a thought. The miracle in a can thing just doesn't work. Replace the metal if you plan on keeping the car forever. It lasted 40 years from the factory. If you replace it now, chances are it will outlast you. If you buy a gallon, you better use it quickly. Even if you cover it with plastic and put the lid back on it, like they tell you, it will harden in the can. talkin' from experience.
