Has automatic transmission want to go back to 4 speed .what size driveshaft do I need or will I have to measure and find out

If you're going in with a 'rock crusher' (Muncie M22), I dunno but if you're going in with the 833, then the drive shaft should be the same if you had the 727 trans in it already.

...and if you've ever driven a car with a Muncie and a car with an 833...

There is NO CONTEST. 833 is far smoother and easier to get in and out of gear.

Even in a corvette the m22 is clunky and difficult to find the gates.

He said rock crusher lmao we call that debris on the track lol seriously though if you're trying to put a M21 or M22 in a 70 road runner good luck the mopar gods will strike you down as the sacrilege would be astronomical. Chebby parts belong in the trash not on mopars.

All you ever wanted to know about swapping an auto to a 4 speed is at Brewers. Good luck and lets see some pics.

X2 Cranky.

And now you found out what happens when you mention "rock crusher" on a MoPar forum! lol. There is a reason why an adapter was made to put a NP 833 or a Ford Top Loader behind a Chevy.

almost as bad as saying your Mopar has a "Posi" rear end....I know people that have been slapped when they say that

On frame just got the car from my father and just trying to put it back together . He told me I should use that transmission, I don't know this is new to me

LOL....
The car doesn't have a "Frame" to remove the body from... That's the joke....
Also your car doesn't use a "Rock Crusher",,,,, that's a Chevy thing....

And don't call the torque shaft a 'z-bar'.

Ah, we're just having fun with you. Mopar DID use the T-10 before designing a better replacement.

put the tools on the ground and slowly step away from the car :glasses1:

That one bugs me too.

"Magnum 500s" wheels is another cross make reference that is tolerated.

However, we sure allow the completely inaccurate phrase 'radio delete' without consequences.
