I've noticed the heads of the bolts look different over the different year models. Which are correct for say 68-70? I'm thinking the bolts that have an 'H' in the center? The sides of the H are not straight. Then I have some with just a circle or a large O. Also, there are some with a CP, others with a TR and ones with an M. All are the same size and all have the 6 lines designating grade 8 but some lines are long, some very short and some are in between.

ALL of these head bolts taper to the root thread diameter....all of them are factory but it's the heads that look different. Everything else is the same including the length over all, thread length and root diameter....and head bolt size and thickness.

From what I have seen over the years tearing down 60's stuff I'd say the H bolts are correct.
