Wondering if any one had any headrest guides and all the goodies for the adjustments of the height of the headrests that go into the bucket seats, or where can i get aftermarket, if they make them. thanks for your time!

Hmmm, I seem to recall a post to the effect that '68 buckets didn't come with headrests.

my 68 absolutely came with head rests (and I think I recall it being noted on my fender tag)......... I gave my seats to a local drunk to re-upholster in like 1987. He never did them, and the seats got lost. I have a set of cores without head rests, I assumed I could add them but never gave it much thought....... so this thread is of interest

They were special order maybe think hemi cars came with them. I like the look was gonna get some aftermarket ones but haven't found all the parts for the seats to accept them the seat cores I have have the necessary metal welded in but can't find the guides and trim that connect to the seat

mine is a 440 auto 68 GTX........ if not coded on the tag, it is def coded on the sheet

anyway, could you post a pic of what you did to the seat cores to accept the headrests? thanks

They were already there

thanks....... i will take a look at my cores........ thanks for the thread

I had a local uph shop install rests for my '63 seats. I got a great deal on the used rests (later 60's Dodge I recollect) on ebay. I bought the era post hardware on ebay as well for around $60 and the shop fabbed up tubing inside the seat frame to house the rests. One issue is I can't put them all the way down; but I have them adjusted where I want my noggin supported...here are before and after pics. Sounds like your seats are headrest ready matter of finding the rests and hardware that I don't think should be a problem after doing some searching for mine anyway.
