Head rest restoration

My head rests on my 1969 Coronet R/T need repaired. The chrome strip that go around the rest is peeling and the chrome on the legs need replated. Does anyone repair these and is it possible with the head rest as they seem to be cast into the legs. I know B/E and A sell reproductions, but would prefer to keep mine.

Not sure about the posts, but I bought a new set of the chrome bands from Year One (I think) several years ago. Had a local interior shop glue them on and they still look great.

I had my 68 R/T headrest restored by NOT JUST HEADREST and they turned out great. I also used them on another restoration and even had the color changed, perfect! They also sell used orginals at various condition levels. They rate them by the softness of the headrest.....
